Join us for a " Bucket Brigade" Monday, 2/1 from 1:15pm to 2:30pm!
(02-01-2010)
On Monday, 2/1 from 1:15pm to 2:30pm, St. John the Baptist Catholic School students will hold a “Bucket Brigade” for the benefit of the Napa Food Bank. We will form a line from St. John School to the 1st St. Fire Station. We won’t block traffic or block any access to stores or businesses. Beginning with our Kindergarteners in our school yard, non-perishable food will be passed from one student and from one class to the next, down Main St. and down 1st St. to the Fire Station.
The educational purpose of this service activity is to bring awareness to the need to serve the hungry at all times of the year, not just during the holidays. It is our responsibility as faith-filled persons to help others and it is the tradition of Catholic education to be able to integrate service with educational purpose. We are blessed!
Please send in non-perishable food items ASAP!
In case of rain, the “Bucket Brigade” will be moved to 1:15pm on Monday, 2/8.
