National Catholic Schools Week 2009/2010!

The nation's nearly 8,000 Catholic schools and over 2 million students will celebrate Catholic Schools Week, Sunday, January 31 through Friday, February 6. 

We are blessed to be a school that can shine the light of Christ for all to see!  Catholic Schools Week is a joint project of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).  At St. John School, we will be busy celebrating all those who make up our faith-filled community!   Call us (224-8388), visit our website (www.stjohnscatholic.org) or follow us on Facebook (St. John the Baptist Catholic School Napa) for details!

Sunday, 1/31:  We are thankful for our PARISH!  10:00am: Our school students actively participate in Mass! Sister Joyce Poeschl is recognized for her 50 Jubilee year as a Dominican Sister and Mrs. Paulette Boyce is recognized for 30 years of ministry to St. John the Baptist Catholic School.

11:00am -12:00pm: Parishioners, current school families and alumni are invited to a school Open House. 

Monday, 2/1:  We are grateful for our COMMUNITY!

1:15pm:  Our schools students feed the Napa Food Bank with a Bucket Brigade!

Tuesday, 2/2:  We celebrate our STUDENTS! Free Dress!  Extra Recess!

11:30am-1:00pm: Spuds with Buds Luncheon

Wednesday, 2/3:  We honor our NATION! 8:05am:  We raise the flag.

8:30am: School Mass:  We celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise. 2:40pm: We lower and fold the flag.

Thursday, 2/4: We value VOCATIONS! 8:05am: Special presentations are given to Sister Joyce and Mrs. Paulette Boyce.  Throughout the Day: We welcome Sisters from the Queen of the Valley Hospital and celebrate the "Year of the Priest"!

Friday, 2/5:  We appreciate our VOLUNTEERS! 

8:00am: We thank our parents with "Drop-off Donuts"!

Sunday, 2/7: 10:00am Family Mass:  We wrap up a successful

Catholic Schools Week with an announcement of Alumnus of the year.
