2011-2012 Student Uniform Reminders

Sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets and vests must have the student's name clearly written on the inside collar area.  Uniform items with names are returned to the student.  Uniform items without names that remain unclaimed in lost and found will be sent to Twice is Nice.
All students in Kindergarten through 8th grade must wear a belt if they are wearing khaki shorts or pants if the pants or shorts have belt loops.
All students in kindergarten through 8th grade must wear socks that completely cover their ankle bone.
All students in kindergarten through 8th grade must have their shirts tucked in at all times.
Post earings only are allowed for girls.

2011-2012 Free Dress Info

Free Dress Days are the last Friday of each month, unless otherwise noted.  Our first Free Dress Day will be Friday, September 30th.  Please see Page 10 of our Parent/Student Handbook for policy changes that could effect your student's free dress privileges.
 
Free Dress Guidelines per our Parent/Student Handbook:
 
Boys:
Shirts depicting vulgarity, gore, skulls and the like are not allowed
Plain white under T-shirts and tank tops are not allowed
Pants sagging below the waist and exposing underwear are unacceptable.
Pants must hold at natural waistline without a belt
Cut-off jeans or torn pants are not allowed
Flat, closed-toe and closed-back shoes must be worn at all times.
Hats are allowed but must be removed inside the building and the classroom
Girls:
Dresses, skirts, and shorts must be of modest nature and not must be no shorter than 2” above the crease at the back of the student’s knee.
Short mini-skirts, slit skirts, strapless dresses, backless dresses, spaghetti straps and halter style tops or dresses are not allowed
Cut-off or torn jeans or pants are not allowed
Sleeveless style tops are allowed; straps must be 3 or more inches wide
Tops must be of appropriate length and not expose the midriff when the arms are raised
Necklines need to be modest in nature
No undershirts or camisoles as outerwearNo bra straps showingAll shirts will have appropriate depictions and expressions
Flat, closed-toe and closed-back shoes must be worn at all times. No heels.

Parent/Student Handbook Update
Winter, 2009
This is the time of the year when we become a bit lax about following and/or enforcing our uniform and free dress guidelines. Violations that seem insignificant actually infringe on instruction time as staff must dedicate time and energy responding to the infractions. In particularly, we've seen an increase of the wearing of make-up and longer, unkempt hair for boys.

As a living document, our Parent/Student Handbook is subject to revision during the school year. Effective immediately, the following is in effect:

Pg. 13: Dress Code
If students are out-of-uniform, a "Uniform Notice" will be issued. If any student receives 2 or more Uniform Notices in one month, he/she will not be allowed to have Free Dress and a parent will be called to correct the uniform infraction.

- Perfume or body deodorant sprays are not permitted on campus. Non-spray deodorants are acceptable.

Back to school 2007/2008

Please note: If choosing to wear a short length sock, only crew style socks are uniform approved. Socks for girls must cover the ankle bone.

Uniform shorts may now be worn throughout the year.
