Sunday, February 12th 10a – 6p
Please come prepared to work in the backroom organizing our clothing shelves by size, style and kind. This will require a bit of standing, so wear comfy shoes! And layered clothing – we’ll be in the back, unheated portion of the store.
Each parent may bring one child that will be under your direct supervision. You will work as a team sorting, folding and shelving clothing. We ask that each volunteer commit to at least 2 hours so that we can tackle as much of this task as possible. Both the parent and the child working will receive volunteer hour credit. As the holidays approach our second hand store Twice is Nice has been receiving many beautiful seasonal items as well as great gift opportunities. Don’t forget to do your holiday shopping there!
With that, Twice is Nice is also calling for volunteers. We would like to remind everyone to schedule their volunteer hours with the store manager, Steve Geare, or just stop in as walk-in volunteers are welcome.
There is an annual requirement of 20 volunteer hours per family at Twice is Nice.

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church would like to introduce Steve Geare as the new manager of Twice is Nice Second Hand Store.
Steve brings over 30 years of successful sales and marketing experience to our store. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in 1975 and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager for Fellowes Manufacturing in 1991. With this promotion, he was able to move his family to Napa, which he describes as “the idyllic spot to live”.
For twenty years, Steve has been active as a fundraiser and maintenance volunteer for the parish and school facilities...He describes St. Johns as “a vibrant community that is very important to the welfare of Napa. Our goal is to provide more financial aid to benefit more parish programs including ministries, projects for youth wellness and school scholarships. Twice is Nice provides a perfect opportunity to reach these objectives.”
Twice is Nice Second Hand Store, volunteer-run and donation-powered is located at 1916 Yajome St. in Napa. Store hours are Monday-Saturday, 10am-6pm. All proceeds from the store support over 40 ministries that serve over 3800 families and nearly 17,000 parishioners at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Come, shop to treat yourselves to treasures and to sustain services and programs that make the community of Napa stronger.
