| > Home > School Life > Fundraising > Jogathon Jog-a-thon The Jog-a-Thon is a lively student-focused, engaging event that occurs in the Fall at Justin-Siena High School. Please check here for important forms. Please contact Co-Chairpersons Katie Batt at 224-83898 or schoolinfo@stjohnscatholic.org. We would like to thank the entire school community for your amazing participation and support in making our Jog -A -Thon a HUGE success. All of your hard work paid off and you raised over $26,000 for your school. We are so proud to be a part of the St. John the Baptist community. We want to say a personal thank you to the following people who helped make the Jog -A -Thon even more successful:
Justin-Siena High School for providing transportation, the use of their track and serving lunch to all students and staff, Martha Pedroza Ramos and The Coliseum for their very generous donation of gift certificates, Rhonda Shea for business sponsor follow-up, GrapeLeaf Graphics for doing such a great job with our T-shirts, Napa Music Supply for the very generous gift certificates, the Vega family for donating all the water for our student runners, Kurt and Cathy Brashear for their help in running the event for the past 12 years, Nubia Kunst and crew for organizing and preparing the baked goods presented to Justin-Siena staff, Mark Eggan, Jennifer Mini-Bera, and Jorgen Gulliksen for their photography, Claudia Kalten for the bulletin board and making all of the lap cards, Heather Altamura Dumas for organizing the parent volunteers, our teachers and staff for keeping the students informed and motivated, the parent volunteers for showing up to count laps and cheer on our student runners, Paulette Boyce for organizing the T-shirts, Ali Shull for leading the student council, Student Council for the Jog-A-Thon rally and the very funny film, extended care students who made the class signs for the track, Kurtis Sylvester and Gianni Nola for their expertise in leading the crowd and keeping it all going, Maria Thomason, Denise Duane, and Judy Franzino for their time and talents getting the ball rolling (and keeping it rolling) until the very end, and last but not least, our amazing students who worked very hard at getting sponsors and collecting donations. We are so proud of you.

Jog-A-Thon News It is time to CELEBRATE!
The 2011 Jog-A-Thon will take place this Friday, October 14 at Justin-Siena High School. Jog-A-Thon t-shirts will be handed out this week and may be worn to school on Friday with shorts or sweat pants. Only closed-toe tennis shoes may be worn during the run. Students will depart by bus at 9:30 a.m. and return to St. John the Baptist by 12:15 p.m. for a 12:30 p.m. dismissal. Justin-Siena will host a hot dog lunch for all St. John the Baptist students immediately following the event.
Continue collecting pledges and remember to return your envelope by Friday, October 21, 2011.
Volunteers – please arrive at Justin-Siena by 9:30 a.m. Contact the school office at 224-8388 with questions.

The student will be driven by bus from St. Johns school to Justin-Siena High School on Friday, October 14, 2011. The event will begin at 10:15am. Students will arrive back at school by 12:15pm for a 12:30pm dismissal. Be sure to check the school website, your email, and/or your Wednesday Envelope for additional details in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to 7th grader, Lori K., for winning the school wide Jog-A-Thon t-shirt design contest. Lori's design earned the most votes out of six submitted entries. Great job, Lori!
Jog-A-Thon Friday, October 14, 2011 (this is a 12:30 dismissal day) to be held at the Justin-Siena High School track Thank you. READY, SET, CELEBRATE! Mark your calendar for the annual St. John Jog-a-thon! Jog-A-Thon Thank You Jog-A-Thon Envelopes Are Due Back on Friday, October 15, 2010 In order to qualify for any of the Jog-A-Thon prizes you MUST return your Pledge Envelope to your teacher or the school office by Friday, October 15. Jog-A-Thon Kick-off Rally Please join us! The St. John Jog-A-Thon kick-off rally will take place on Friday, September 17 at 2:00 P.M. in the Parish hall. Get ready to Twist & Shout as we celebrate the start to this exciting fundraiser. Pledge envelopes will be handed out to each student so that they may begin collecting pledges. Parents, we need your help too. Several cases of bottled water will be needed for the event on October 7. Run the most laps in your grade and then Jump for One Dollar Bills at the Jog-A-Thon Prize Rally. Free Dress Fridays Each class with 100% Envelope Returns Celebrate Free Dress Fridays for an entire month! Each student must turn in his or her Jog-A-Thon envelope by Friday, October 16, 2009. The amount of money or pledges does not affect this prize, so help your class earn free dress - simply return your Jog-A-Thon envelope by October 16th – No exceptions! A tasty Italian Soda – compliments of Frankie’s Deli The class to be the first to return all Pledge Envelopes by Friday, October 16 will receive one free Italian Soda per student. Make your teacher proud and she/he will also earn a free soda. Jog-A-Thon Drawing In addition to the prizes above, all students who return Jog-A-Thon Envelopes will be entered in a Drawing for some fun and exciting prizes, including two additional chances of earning “Principal for a Day”.
