Jog-a-thon
The Jog-a-Thon is a lively student-focused, engaging event that occurs in the Fall at Justin-Siena High School. Please check here for important forms.

We would like to thank the entire school community for your amazing participation and support in making our Jog -A -Thon a HUGE success. All of your hard work paid off and you raised over $26,000 for your school. We are so proud to be a part of the St. John the Baptist community. We want to say a personal thank you to the following people who helped make the Jog -A -Thon even more successful:

Jog-A-Thon News
It is time to CELEBRATE!
The 2011 Jog-A-Thon will take place this Friday, October 14 at Justin-Siena High School. Jog-A-Thon t-shirts will be handed out this week and may be worn to school on Friday with shorts or sweat pants. Only closed-toe tennis shoes may be worn during the run. Students will depart by bus at 9:30 a.m. and return to St. John the Baptist by 12:15 p.m. for a 12:30 p.m. dismissal. Justin-Siena will host a hot dog lunch for all St. John the Baptist students immediately following the event.
Continue collecting pledges and remember to return your envelope by Friday, October 21, 2011.
Volunteers – please arrive at Justin-Siena by 9:30 a.m. Contact the school office at 224-8388 with questions.

Please mark your calendar and join us for the 2011 Jog-A-Thon -
The student will be driven by bus from St. Johns school to Justin-Siena High School on Friday, October 14, 2011. The event will begin at 10:15am. Students will arrive back at school by 12:15pm for a 12:30pm dismissal. Be sure to check the school website, your email, and/or your Wednesday Envelope for additional details in the coming weeks.
Congratulations to 7th grader, Lori K., for winning the school wide Jog-A-Thon t-shirt design contest. Lori's design earned the most votes out of six submitted entries. Great job, Lori!
Thanks to our talented Student Council for entertaining us last Friday at the kick-off rally. We had a lot of laughs and appreciate their effort in preparing us for the big event. Special thanks to Mrs. Shull for working with the students and helping them to create a fabuloursrally.
A Jog-A-Thon Pledge Envelope was handed out to every student at the end of the rally last Friday. Students may begin collecting donations between now and Friday, October 21st. Help your class earn "Movie Night" or a "Sundae Party". Run the most laps and you can "Jump for Dollars". These are just a few of the prizes you can earn. A complete list of rewards will be provided to students over the next few days.
Remember... in order to qualify for any of the Jog-A-Thon prizes you MUST return your Pledge Envelope and all collected pledges to your teacher no later than October 21, 2011.

READY, SET, CELEBRATE! Mark your calendar for the annual St. John Jog-a-thon!
The event will be held at Justin-Siena High School on Friday, October 14, 2011.
This is a fun, outdoor, student driven event where everyone has a great time. We invite you to join the fun while working off your volunteer hours. We will be having our first Jog-A-Thon meeting right after the Family Club meeting Monday, August 29th at 8:30am. Join us for the Family Club meeting and stay for a Jog-A-Thon planning session. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please contact either Katie Bettencourt Batt or Patty Lowenstein for more information. Be sure to check the Wednesday Envelope for important information.

Jog-A-Thon Envelopes Are Due Back on Friday, October 15, 2010 In order to qualify for any of the Jog-A-Thon prizes you MUST return your Pledge Envelope to your teacher or the school office by Friday, October 15.
A tasty Italian Soda, compliments of Frankie's Deli, will be awarded to each student and their teacher in the class that returns all of their pledge envelopes first.
Your class may also have a chance to win "Movie Night" or "Free Dress Fridays" for one whole month.
Be sure to return your pledge envelopes and all collected donations on or before Friday, October 15. Prize winners will be announced on Friday, October 29 during the Halloween Carnival.
Help us reach our goal - every envelope and penny counts.

Jog-A-Thon Kick-off Rally Please join us! The St. John Jog-A-Thon kick-off rally will take place on Friday, September 17 at 2:00 P.M. in the Parish hall. Get ready to Twist & Shout as we celebrate the start to this exciting fundraiser. Pledge envelopes will be handed out to each student so that they may begin collecting pledges. Parents, we need your help too. Several cases of bottled water will be needed for the event on October 7. Go the distance! Run the most laps in your grade and then Jump for One Dollar Bills at the Jog-A-Thon Prize Rally.
Free Dress Fridays
Each class with 100% Envelope Returns
Celebrate Free Dress Fridays for an entire month! Each student must turn in his or her Jog-A-Thon envelope by Friday, October 16, 2009. The amount of money or pledges does not affect this prize, so help your class earn free dress - simply return your Jog-A-Thon envelope by October 16th – No exceptions!

The class to be the first to return all Pledge Envelopes by Friday, October 16 will receive one free Italian Soda per student. Make your teacher proud and she/he will also earn a free soda.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
10:00am Volunteers meet at Justin-Siena High School Football field/track
10:30am Students begin arriving by bus
10:45am Welcome to all, opening prayer and warm-up exercises for students
11:00am Event begins!
11:45am Runners come to a halt!
12:00 Noon - Lunch will be provided to all students, staff, and volunteers
12:30pm Buses begin loading to return to St. John the Baptist Catholic School
NOTES FOR ALL:
All parents, guardians and family cheerleaders please sit in the bleachers. Only staff, students and volunteers are allowed on the field. Food and drink (except for water) are not permitted on the field.
We are looking forward to a fabulously fun-filled day while we raise money for our school. We couldn't do it without everyone's participation and support. Please join us if you can, you don't want to miss such a radically cool day!!!

The 2009 "Footloose" Jog-A-Thon is now in full swing!
Thank you Mrs. Jordan and our talented School Council for radically entertaining and rockin' us at Friday afternoon's Kick-Off Rally. Thanks Mr. McClure for your awesome drumming and helping us keep the dance beat. Congratulations Ryley D (8th grade), who's totally fabulous shirt design was unveiled on a one-of-a-kind T-shirt.
Students: it is time to get out there and begin collecting those pledges using the white Pledge Envelope you received on Friday. The incredibly cool Jog-A-Thon Prize list will be posted soon on the Jog-A-Thon board in the school's main hall - keep your eyes peeled!

IT'S BIGGER! IT'S BETTER! IT'S GOING TO BE THE BOMB AND TOTALLY AWESOME! St. John the Baptist Catholic School is going FOOTLOOSE at Justin-Siena High School this year! So pencil the date in your calendar! You don't want to be an airhead and miss it. This JOG-A-THON will be choice with new and exciting happenings.
Here are a few friendly reminders:
- Friday, September 18th 2:00 PM = Kick-off Rally in Parish Hall
Pledge Envelopes handed out - Everybody welcome!
- Calling all aunts, uncles, grandparents and long lost cousins!
Long Distance Pledge Letters are enclosed in your Wednesday Envelope. Make bunches of copies and send it out to EVERYONE you know! All they can do is say "no", but then again, they might say "yes" After all it is for a good cause -- OUR SCHOOL!!!!!
