or tennis shoes and get ready for the fun

on Thursday, October 11, 2007!

Consider being part of this exciting event.

There are several opportunities to get involved. 

We need committee leaders, committee members or

volunteers willing to help for just a few hours.

Please join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 4^th at 8:30 AM.

“Boogie” your way to the 2007 Jog-A-Thon…         

Here are some dates you won’t want to miss...

August 29 (Wed) – Information packet goes home including T-shirt order form and Business Sponsor form.  If you would like to be a Business Sponsor please fill out the attached form and return to the school office by September 11^th .  T-shirt design contest begins for 7^th and 8^th grade students.

September 5 (Wed) – T-shirt designs due from 7^th and 8^th grade students.

September 7 (Fri) – T-shirt design will be voted on by the student body.

September 10 (Mon) – T-shirt order forms are due.  If forms are not returned a size will be selected for you.

September 19 (Wed) – Every family will receive “Long Distance Pledge Letters” to fill out and send to friends and relatives who live out of the area.  This is an easy way of asking for their pledge of support.  Additional copies will be available in the school office..

September 27 (Thurs) – “Long Distance Pledge Letters” must be turned into the school office for mailing or you can mail them yourself.

September 28 (Fri) – Our big Kick-off Rally will be held at 2:00 PM in the hall.  Pledge envelopes and t-shirts will be distributed to all students at the rally.  Students will have one week to get pledges, either “per lap” or “flat amount”.

October 5 (Fri) – Pledge envelopes are due back with any money that may have been collected.  There will be a bonus drawing for those students who meet this deadline.

October 11 (Thurs) – 2007 Jog-a-thon will take place at New Tech High/Rotary Park (on Main Street).   Parent volunteers will be needed during the event.  Plan to come join the fun and cheer our students as they run around the one-tenth of a mile track.
