Did you, a friend or a relative graduate from St. John the Baptist Catholic School? If so, plan to attend our alumni dinner which will provide an opportunity to learn about our current programs and catch-up with classmates.

St. John's recently celebrated our Alumni at a Catholic Schools Week luncheon.

The alumni of St John's are a treasured resource for the school. They stay in touch with their alma mater through the alumni newsletter, The Herald. Named in honor of our patron saint, John the Baptist, this twice-yearly issue features current school news, profiles of eminent alumni, details of upcoming events, and updates about births, marriages and deaths. The annual reunion dinner has grown from a minor social occasion to a fun- packed day's celebration of Catholic education. See the Fundraisers link for details of this year's event.
 During Catholic Schools' Week, alumni revisit their old classrooms and talk to the students about how school was for them, "way back then." Distinguished alumni include Francis Quinn, '35, retired Bishop of Sacramento, happily still ministering to Native Americans in Arizona; his classmate, prominent businessman Joe Vallerga; Judge John Quigley, '40, recently retired from the Napa County Court; Napa law partners Jim Fogarty, '53, and Chuck Dickenson, '67; Danda Dowling Winford, '62, director of Catholic Charities for Napa County; Bill Dodd, '70, recently elected Supervisor for Napa County; and many other solid citizens, not so public, but just as effective ambassadors for St John's Catholic School. The President of the Alumni Association is Ernie Rota, '38, director of Claffey & Rota Funeral Home.
