Summer Homework incoming 7th grade
(06-10-2010)
Dear Future Seventh Grade Families,
I will continue to teach Language Arts/Literature and Social Studies for 7th and 8th grades. My goal for all of us is to grow intellectually and spiritually. We will be busy learning all kinds of interesting facts and having fun while we’re at it. Most of all, I insist that we are respectful and kind to each other in the process.
One book of your choice; it must be a minimum of 150 pages and it is required to be on the recommended grade level books from the Napa Library or the California State Standards http://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/rl/ll/ap/litsearch.asp See the attached instructions and rubric that I will use to grade your book reports.
Students need to sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Program through the Napa County Library; (707) 259-8394 or james.mah@countyofnapa.org. The reading log is due the 2nd day of school.
If you have any questions for me over the summer, please feel free to email me at jpicard@stjohnscatholic.org. I will be checking my email during the summer and will get back to you promptly. All work is due on the second day of school for full credit.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Picard
