Greetings, 4th graders
(08-13-2010)
I hope that your summer vacation gave you much time to sleep late, relax, have fun, charge your batteries and get ready for a really busy year. One of our first adventures will be with 2nd graders. We will be having a Garden Farmer's Market, picking veggies, making signs, weighing them and acting as buddies to the 2nd graders as they make change to sell the yummy stuff toparents at pick-up after school. Do you remember how to make change? Count from the smallest coin to the largest to $1.00. Practice because the 2nd graders will look up to you for help.
And have you finished your summer homework? We'll be doing some multiplication drills during the first week of school. Get fast!
Your new classroom's looking worderful with new windows, thank you Father Gordon for finding the $$$$$ to replace all windows in the entire school.
Now a quest: Where can we find Venus Flytrap plants..much coveted in the 4th grade?
See you in a week (well almost).
Mrs. Berube
