Homework March 8, 2010

Good afternoon.  a happy Monday to you.  I hope that you had a great weekend.

A spelling test is coming home for your signature this evening.  The children also have p 122 to do and to write the words in the planner.   We do not have school on Friday, therefore our test will be on Thursday.  a reminder that we have a minimum day on Wednesday.

Our Math today involved problem-solving strategies.  The students were encouraged to draw a picture to help them with the problems.  This was not possible with several we did from the text, thus I did them on the board for the children.  There are several problems this evening which have a large length.  Perhaps they can do them by computing through the   division process.   Also show the work, please.   Don't forget to work on the the division facts already learned.  We will be ready for a test by the beginning of next week.

If the Write On is not in, it is due tomorrow.

Book reports Wednesday and Thursday.   A gentle reminder that a poster has to be a part of the presentation.  If your child wishes to use note cards, this is fine.  They are to be referred to, not read from during the presentation... just as all the other presentations.
