Homework March 1, 2010

(03-01-2010)

Good afternoon.  It would seem that March came in like a lamb. Time is passing too quickly!

For homework,  spelling tests need to be signed.  We are going to do a short list of words from our Social Studies  this week.  They are:      DIVERSITY,   SLAVERY,   IMMIGRANT,  FREEDOM,  ANCESTOR,   GENERATION,  Angel Island,  Ellis Island,   TRADITION , BRAZIL.  I have them in caps just to make them stand out.  These words are already in the planner.  They need to be written 3 times on a piece of notebook paper.

Math is p 96.  It involves choosing the  correct operation to solve  word problems.  Keep reviewing the X's tables and the division facts.

Social Stidies test should come home for your signature.

Tomorrow we celebrate Dr Seuss' birthday.  The children may come in PJs.  They may bring a blanket and/or  a stuffed animal...IF IT NOT TO LARGE.  Students are to wear shoes;  no slippers or flip-flops are allowed  (not my recommendation,)  They have PE, so need to be able to run,  etc..

A note went home concerning the need for volunteers for the St. Joseph Day pasta lunch, which is a tradition for our school.  Many hands make light work.

Enjoy your evening.   God's Blessings be with you.   Sister Joyce
