Homework February 8, 2010

Good afternoon, welcome to a  new week.  We should be pretty well back to normal this week.

If you have any Blessed Palms from last year, please send them in for the burning of the Palms next Tuesday, February 16.

.A reminder that there is a parent club meeting tomorrow after the assembly.  You are welcome to attend.    Up-coming events, fund-raisers and classroon Valentine activities will be discussed.  Also there will be the stuffing of bags for the Valentine Candy Grams.  Come join  this gathering.

Spelling tests went home for your signature.  The children also have P 104 to do and words to be written in their planners.   In addition, we have the following words:  profit, goods, service, forth, entrepreneur.  These are Social Studies words.

In Math we worked on patterns  and sequence.  The children have p 87 for homework.  We are going to begin VOLUME shortly.  If  you drink from the small individual  juice boxes, they would be ideal for the concept of volume.  Please cut the tops off, wash them out and send them in for our use.

A friendly reminder that the Indian habitats are due on Thursday.  February 11,  I look forward to seeing them.  Be sure it labeled and has your child's name on  it. We also have P 29 in the Social Studies Practice Book for homework.  Our chapter takes us on a quick journey westward from St. Louis to the west coast.
