“We never let traffic interfere with out education”, paraphrasing Albert Einstein, Ms. Lee is known to many parents and students of St. John the Baptist Catholic School, as the “Traffic Teacher”. She directs the Fifth Grade Students in their daily traffic patrol duties and also leads their overnight trip to Angel Island as part of their Civil War curriculum. In addition to Fifth Grade, Ms. Lee teaches Sixth Grade Math and Science, including the annual Sixth Grade week at Walker Creek Science Camp, coaches the St. John the Baptist Academic Decathlon Team and organizes the Science Fair for Fifth through Eighth Grades.
Ms. Lee earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Quantitative Psychology from University of California Los Angeles. She has been teaching for twelve years, all in Catholic education, and this year begins her ninth year as the Fifth Grade Teacher at St. John the Baptist Catholic.
Before teaching at St. John the Baptist, Ms. Lee lived in a Southern California desert town called Apple Valley. She has been living in Petaluma for the last 14 years. Her son works for the City of Napa. Ms. Lee enjoys spending time with the “pride of a grandma’s heart”, her two granddaughters. Ms. Lee relaxes listening to jazz as well as reading and gardening during her off times.
