Milton Gallegos

Mr. Gallegos, known to students as “Mr. G”, is a true Napa Valley local. He was born in St. Helena, the youngest of two, but grew up in the large extended family of his grandparents who have been married for 64 years with 9 children, 36 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Gallegos attended Pacific Union College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science.
Mr. Gallegos spent the first three years of his career in education working for the St. Helena Unified School District. He worked as a mentor for English as a Second Language (ESL) students, helping them adjust mainstream English classes, and also spent two years teaching at Madrone continuation school for troubled youth. For the past six years, Mr. Gallegos has been a part of the teaching community at St. John the Baptist Catholic School serving as the Junior High Math and Science Teacher. He leads the Eighth Grade Advanced Math Students in the Justin-Siena Math competition each Fall and helps coordinate the Science Fair held every other year at St. John the Baptist. Mr. Gallegos coordinates the annual Eighth Grade trip to Yosemite National Park so students can participation in Yosemite National Institute’s outdoor education three-day experiential learning program.
Mr. Gallegos is also co-coordinator of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Youth Group, Head Soccer Coach for St. Helena High School and Assistant Coach for an under-12 club traveling soccer team. Recently married, he looks forward to spending time away from teaching and coaching with his new wife.
