Anti-Bullying and Positive Social Skills Program:
In 2011, Principal Jordan and Ms. Di Marco (our beloved former Resource and PE teacher who recently moved to New York) were invited to present at the National Catholic Education Association convention in New Orleans, LA. The topic was “Forming a Faith-Based, Anti-Bullying, Positive Social-Skills Program: An Effective Model for Catholic Educators”. The presentation captured the multi-faceted manner that we, at St. John's prevent and manage challenging behaviors. We are all imperfect by our humanness. We, as parent/educator partners, have the responsibility to protect all children so that they feel safe. We also have the responsibility to support all students in developing healthy social and self-advocacy skills. Please review the Powerpoint presentation which outlines our multi-leveled, effective program. Should you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.
